So many of us have the procedures of achievement upside down. We go after things that are outside of ourselves, but what we’re really reaching for is a feeling.

Think about why you went on your last holiday or applied for your current role. Did they live up to expectations?

We begin this process with a powerful heart-centred approach to goal setting. Guided prompts ask questions we rarely ask ourselves and encourage you to focus on what matters most - your preferred state of being. I’m guessing it’s not stressed out and agitated.

With that kind of clarity, big goals and daily must-do’s get a major energy boost.

To feel a sense of aliveness we must connect to ourselves and each other physically, emotionally and mentally. Women have become world class ignorers of our own needs to a point that we don’t even know we’re ignoring them! Our bodies send us signals but we’re living from the neck up.

Step 1: connect back in with yourself + Step 2: build connection with others = making things better

I teach evidence-based actions to improve connection so you can benefit from the positive effects of connection including reducing stress by closing the stress cycle, deeper satisfaction from understanding self and identity, building trust and a sense of security, a feeling of being seen and understood, and physiological improvements such as regulating heart rates and improving immune responses.

How you plan your day is how you live your life.

Once you’re clear on your priorities in all life areas and you have the knowledge and skills to plug back into yourself and those around you, it’s time to make a practical plan.

You get a say in what happens during your day, week or month, even if it doesn’t feel like it. Intentional living and self-agency are an important piece of the vitality puzzle - they liberate you to live your best life.

You’ll be given the tools and support to plan for how you want to feel as well as the millions of life admin things and responsibilities. Weekly prompts will help you stay close to what’s important and get you back on track when things don’t go to plan. This is about integrating knowledge and putting in practice what you’ve learnt to feel more in control and less overwhelmed.

We come alive through contrast.

Esther Perel calls it the anchor and the wave. We all need security (reliability, stability and continuity) but we also need adventure, novelty and change to give our lives fullness and vibrancy. There is a never-ending dance between being bold and taking risks and seeking grounding and safety. Too much change and we feel a sense of chaos but too little, and we grow rigid and bored.

As parents, we’re great at providing both of these experiences. My kids gets new clothes, play dates, different foods (that they mostly hate, but still…) on a regular basis plus they receive the comfort of routine and affection.

It’s important to recognise that passion and security are two different ingredients and we must make space for both, especially in our relationships.
